Nurturing Parenting

Children and Family Resource Center now offers a free 12-week Nurturing Parenting course for those required to complete a parenting class or who are working to maintain or recover custody of their children.

This research-based curriculum introduces parenting strategies and supportive discipline tools, educates about age-appropriate developmental expectations, encourages parental nurturing and self-care, and provides opportunities for peer support. Sessions address parents’ sense of self-worth, personal empowerment, empathy, bonding, and attachment.

Participants interact with other adults to share parenting experiences, gain support, and build connections and friendships. There is no cost to parents. Those enrolled are expected to attend at least 10 of 12 sessions.  Earn $20 every three weeks you attend.  Class is being offering in-person at our center.

The next series will begin August 30th.  To register for a series or for more info, please reach out to Linda Block at [email protected] or 828-515-4541.
