Thursday, March 21, 2019 Directors’ Dialogue 4 will focus on the book Leadership in Action by Paula Jorde Bloom. This book is a part of Bloom’s Director’s Toolbox management series for Early Childhood Administrators. We will continue discussion from dialogue 3 on how to promote leadership capacity throughout all levels of the organization. Following the guidance in the book, we will examine egocentric and allocentric perspectives of leadership. With references to individual centers/programs, directors will look at ways to streamline office operations and “substance over bureaucracy”. Examining some pertinent quotes throughout the book, we will discuss way to “walk the talk” and find ways to create a playful work environment.
If you would like to be a part of this PLC, you must attend both sessions. Credit hours are free, the cost for the book is $20.00.
