Coronavirus Family Resources
Many of our families are unable to leave the house and are losing income for basic needs like food, formula and diapers. If you would like to donate to help these families, please click the CFRC Covid-19 Crisis Fund button to give now.
BREAKING NEWS! Child Care Providers Can Begin Applying for Small Business Loans Today
The CARES Act, passed by Congress last week, is an economic stimulus bill to provide relief to families, small businesses, and major industries as they deal with the impact of the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to funding to support children and families, the CARES Act also includes relief opportunities for the child care industry.
Once such opportunity is the Payroll Protection Program (PPP) small business loan, which is available to many child care programs and other small businesses. Businesses can begin applying today, April 3rd. This loan program is for the purposes of payroll protection, allowing child care programs or other small businesses to continue to pay their employees, so it is only available to small businesses that continue to operate: child care programs that are closed are not eligible. These loans are available through local lenders or banking institutions.
Any child care program interested in applying should gather their payroll information and contact their lender as soon as possible. These loans will go quickly and demand is expected to exceed available funding. For more information, please click below to see a helpful summary and FAQ from the First Five Years Fund and the US Chamber of Commerce.

When I think about having “the talk” with my kids, my heart races and I have anxiety about what I imagine will be an awkward conversation. As I think about how that dialogue will play out, I am thankful for parent educators like my incredible co-workers at the Children & Family Resource Center, and other resources that will help make my “talk” to my children about sexual health a little easier.
