Children & Family Resource Center Volunteers Recognized

CFRC Volunteers were awarded Recognition Certificates at the annual Henderson County Association of Volunteer Administrators (HAVA) Recognition Luncheon at the Cedars during Volunteer Week celebrations.

Carolyn Cullen and Bertha Medina were recognized for translating numerous key documents for use in working with Spanish speaking families and child care providers. They have assisted with the Parents as Teachers (PAT) Program helping overcome communication barriers facing our Spanish speaking clients.

Theresa and Chris Beck were recognized for their work with the Center’s Once Upon A Time Reading and Literacy Program. In addition to reading at child care centers, they also contribute to the “Story Time Program” held monthly at the Early Learning Cooperative and have assisted with Teacher Appreciation events.

These volunteers truly represent CFRC’s Volunteer Services motto, “ It Takes the Best to Serve the Best”.
