Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time Volunteer Literacy Program

photo-of-volunteer-reading-to-groupWant to make a Big difference with a little bit of time? Volunteers read with small groups of children in full day preschool programs. Volunteers show children how much fun reading can be, provide positive reading experience and model interactive read aloud strategies. These strategies will help children begin to develop a deeper understanding and love of books.

If you enjoy reading to children and can contribute an hour of your time per week, the children are eager to get to know you. The Center will provide comprehensive training prior to assignment.
