Assistive Technology in the ELC
The North Carolina Assistive Technology Program/Mountain area has partnered with the ELC to be a pick up and drop off center for items for the NCATP. Assistive technology is any piece of equipment that can be used to enhance and increase the independence of a person with a disability. The ELC has a small collection of items that can be borrowed for two weeks at a time. These materials belong to the NCATP, but are housed here at the ELC. They can be borrowed by any member of the community, you do not need to be an ELC member. The loan period is 2 weeks and the limit is 3 items at time. For more information, please see visit their website at www.ncatp.org or call Rae or Mary Kay at 828 631-9461. They are a wealth of information, don’t hesitate to contact them with questions or requests.
