The
APP is a secondary pregnancy prevention program available
to adolescents who reside in Henderson County and who
are either pregnant or parenting for the first time.

The
Adolescent Parenting Program
is made possible through cooperation between the Department of Social
Services and the Children and Family Resource Center of Henderson County.
The Center and other programs within provide a one-stop, convenient
access to many services that support Henderson County families.
The Children and Family Resource Center is located off of
Upward Road at 851 Case Street in Hendersonville.

Success!! Adolescent
Parenting Programs are currently offered in over
30 counties in North Carolina and they are working! Over
eighty percent of the adolescents enrolled in the
program earned a high school diploma or equivalency,
avoided
a second pregnancy, and many went on to complete
advanced educational goals.
