CFRC Scholarship for Single Moms gives single moms the opportunity to continue their education at a post-secondary level.
The Scholarship supports single mothers who can demonstrate that given the opportunity through continued education, their lives will be positively impacted, allowing them to better themselves and the lives of their children through increased employment and ability to earn higher wages. Scholarship participants are eligible to receive $1,000 a year to continue their post-secondary education at a college or technical school until the completion of the desired degree. Scholarship funds can be used to pay for tuition, books, class materials, lab fees, transportation and child care while mom attends school.
Funds are awarded to single mothers who live in Henderson County, NC.
Have proof of your acceptance into college, technical school or accredited vocational program.
Plan to enroll a minimum of part-time student status.
If selected as a finalist, you will participate in a personal interview with the Scholarship Review Committee.
If awarded, you agree to allow your photo, name and story to be used in electronic and printed materials to promote and raise additional funds for the Scholarship for Single Moms Fund.
Method of Payment:
All scholarship funds will be paid directly to the educational institution or service providers, not to the student.
