      Throughout history, passionate individuals have joined together to make life better in their communities.  Giving Circles pool money, energy, and ideas to improve the lives of young children through on-going support of critical programs - like the Champions for Children Circle at the Children & Family Resource Center.  Members of the Champions for Children Circle realize that effective work takes time and resources.

      The Champions for Children Circle was started by Tom and Sue Fazio with a challenge to a small circle of friends to make a long term commitment to children.  In an amazing gesture of support, Tom and Sue matched every dollar pledged from 2001-2008, giving a huge jump start to this giving circle.  Active members of the Circle make gifts over time, pledging $1,000 a year for 5 years for a total gift of $5,000.  Today the Circle has 45 active members and 66 charter members, with a goal of doubling active membership in 5 years. 

      By joining together, Champions for Children Circle members have a tremendous impact in the lives of children and families in our community.  We hope you will encourage your friends and family to join you as members of the Champions for Children Circle.

      We strive to show our appreciation to Champions for Children Circle members in several ways:

- Recognition on the Champions for Children Circle donor wall in our lobby

- Recognition at an annual Champions for Children Circle Celebration Dinner

- Presentation of a Champions for Children Circle pin commemorating your   

  contribution.
