Henderson County's Child Care Assistance Facts and Information Page - 2006

•  Approximately 3800 Children are eligible for child care subsidy services in Henderson County

•  Currently 832 children are receiving subsidized child care services in Henderson County .

•  $3,250,020 is currently available to serve eligible children.

•  With a 5% increase in child care subsidy funding an additional 44 children could be served each month in Henderson County .

•  As of February 1, 2006 there are currently 323 children on the waiting list for child care subsidy.

•  We have not been able to help anyone off of the childcare subsidy waiting list since October 6 th , 2005 due to lack of funds.
